Stone & Earth

There is a temple somewhere that no one visits anymore.

A courtyard at dawn does not speak.

It only exhales.

Centuries of sun and rain have soaked deep into the stone. Smoke has settled into the walls until they themselves began to smell like it.

Moss has claimed every crack, and roots have pushed through the floor. Beneath it all, old wood and warm earth still hold their ground.

This is not that temple.

But it remembers.
